Vic's 2016-2017 NHL

Vic/Sun...noticed the same thing with the overs. From what I was reading and some of the local coverage on the Pens I think the only change that was able to put in place for the start of this season was making goalies wear the correct size pants. I guess in the past goalies would wear pants 3 or 4 sizes bigger for the extra material or wear two pairs of pants.

I think the manufactures had trouble getting all the other equipment ready for all the goalies in time for the start of the season. I don't know if the rest of the changes will be put in place later this season or for the start of next season.

Agree with that....plan on doing the same thing.

Next season it will be interesting to see if we see the same thing once all the other equipment changes are in place.

Salami OVER is now 6-0 on the season, even w/ today's total set at 22.5 (slightly over 5.5 goals per game).
On another note, if Red Wings hang on tonight the teams playing their home openers will be 19-4 YTD. Didn't see that trend in prior years, so don't know what to make of it.

Sun, that is pretty interesting state about the home openers.

2 overs down, 2 to go
There is always a possibility that we could have "missed the train" on home openers, but Devils and Habs would both be plays tomorrow.

Vic, nice call on Toronto tonight.
I have been playing the Salami OVER each night (see prior discussion), which is now 7-0 on the season.
I had an angle on the Toronto home opener (play the jersey retirement nights), as well as on the Washington-Col under yesterday.
Not sure whether to post these plays or not, have enjoyed CI but this just ain't a hockey board.

:thanks: Sun - Nice call on the Salami. Post all your plays !! Only takes a minute. I agree that the Island isn't 'Hockey Town' right now but it will be eventually and you have to start somewhere. I appreciate the posts that you put up
