Big 6 (+150) to win the Tournament.

I dont know if there is a more square bet ever presented, but I am taking it.

Ive got Woods, Mickleson, Els, Westwood, McElroy, and Harrington.

rofl
Square golf bets :pope:

Honestly, I think it's a good wager...If nothing else you have quite the group to follow; regardless, one of those most likely will be in contention...I wish i had that bet option at my book..

Ive locked in on Phil 15-1, Justin Rose 17-1, and Steve Stickler 31-1 on each way bets...I gotta add the Big Easy Ernie as well...

Good luck! thumbs up
I like those. I am going to toss some money on Rose and a couple others as well that are over 15:1.

Im trying to hedge already in a tournament with 500 players or something. Fantastic gambling going on over here.
If you really wanna grab "value" (worship), see if your book offers a region winner...I grabbed Great Britain and Ireland at 2.5-1 (the other two were Cont. Europe (10-1) and the Rest of the World 3-4...

2.5-1 with the likes of McElroy, Westwood, Harrington, Rose, etc...I like it...

After a few good value plays from the rest of the world like Phil and Strickler or Els, and the risk/reward is better...

The real worry is that Tiger may breakout here...He owns St Andrew's and he can crack it anyhere and off the tee and still hit the green solid...Highland courses suit his game as the longball works for him as a huge advantage...Throw in the fact that he is prolly the World's best windy weather player and it looks like this could be his weekend...

That said, no WAY I take 5-1 odds against the whole field...Outta principle...and I have never liked that creepo..

thumbs up
Tron: I should have been paying more attention. I would have taken Tiger at 5-1 for all of the reasons you said before and it won't be long before he is back on his game and 5-1 will seem generous. However, the first round is in the books so this might seem a little hindsightish... but it is really obvious that he loves St. Andrews like Jack loves Augusta. The one I would have sold would be Philly, he has no game in the Open.

Slim: McElroy worship I wish my book offered that Big 6 play as well, I would take that in every major. Golf is def a place where you can bet square and be right more often than not.

GL irish to both of you. I completely forgot it started this morning until I woke up.

thumbs up Futures usually open up again after the first round, you should still get good odds...I was so close to adding Roy, but my Dad talked me into the just adding the Great Britain/Ireland region winna wager to cover all the Anglos...Really wish I had added him at 15-1, but I still have him at 2.5-1

thumbs up
Oh, and I did feel like I made a good case for Tiger, I just would rather have one golfer to truly hate thumbs up Kinda like me betting against UNC, just cant do it outta principle cheers
